Job summary

Lignetics is seeking a Mill Equipment Operator to run and adjust three pellet mills, perform quality control on pellets, and monitor moisture content of raw materials. The role requires lifting up to 80 lbs, standing long shifts, and operating heavy equipment safely.

You will inspect the process, perform maintenance tasks, and support dryer operators to keep product quality aligned with standards. A High School diploma and forklift certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Requires working knowledge of all aspects of the production process.
• Requires a high degree of technical, analytical skills.
• Must be able to pass the company forklift certification.
• Requires lifting up to 80 lbs safely, nearly waist-high, and standing for up to 12 hours per day.
• Requires ability to use catwalks and climb ladders up to 30 feet high.
• Requires mechanical and troubleshooting skills to solve pellet mill maintenance problems.
• Requires the ability to do simple to basic math calculations.
• Requires working in a high temperature/ humidity area.
• Requires being able to work in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Operate and adjust 3 pellet mills to meet production needs.
• Perform QC testing of finished pellets.
• Test incoming raw material and monitor moisture content.
• Change pellet mill rolls/dies using overhead hoist.
• Conduct routine process inspections to identify issues.
• Assist dryer operator to maintain moisture between 4-4.5%.
• Record durability, fines, pellet diameter, and perform soak tests.
• Monitor for equipment malfunctions and troubleshoot.
• Maintain pellet mill feed rates and cleanliness of mill area.
