Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Progressive Care Unit RN for night shifts in Washington, requiring cardiac drip titration and a WA or compact RN license. You will work 19:00-07:00 in a Level II Trauma Center teaching hospital.

Epic EMR is used for patient care, with 1:4-5 ratios and potential floor float as needed. The role demands at least 1 year of RN experience, BLS/ACLS/NIHSS, and preference for teaching hospital and charge nurse background.

Qualifications

• Active WA state or compact RN license required, must be in hand at submission.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience.
• Cardiac drip titration and management experience is required.
• Teaching hospital experience preferred.
• Charge nurse experience preferred.
• Two professional references from supervisory roles within the last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside nursing care to cardiac telemetry and stepdown patients, including monitoring and medication management.
• Work in the PCU/Stepdown of a Level II Trauma Center and teaching hospital.
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-07:00) with 1:4-5 patient ratios.
• Every other weekend; no on-call requirements.
• May float to Telemetry or Med-Surg floors if overstaffed; Epic EMR used.
• First time travelers accepted and local candidates considered at lower rate.
