Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) RN for a night shift with telemetry, cardiac medications, and infusion experience. This travel role requires an active IN or compact RN license, BLS/ACLS, and at least 1 year in PCU/telemetry.

Night shifts are 3×12 hours (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) with a 1:4 patient ratio and EOW. Per diems, housing support, travel reimbursements, and other benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Active IN RN license (or compact) by start date.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum 1 year PCU/telemetry nursing experience.
• Cardiac medication and infusion experience required.
• Cerner charting experience preferred.
• Prior travel nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Work in the PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown with telemetry monitoring.
• Night shift schedule, 3×12-hour shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM).
• Patient ratio 1:4.
• Every other weekend (EOW) required.
• No on-call responsibilities.
• Possible floating within scope to meet facility needs.
• Telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip management, and IV therapy responsibilities.
• ABG interpretation, dysrhythmia management, and wound care support in this unit.
• Holiday coverage for one of three major holidays if requested.
• Maximum of 10 days RTO permitted.
• Former facility employees require 3-year separation before returning as traveler.
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role.
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted.
