Johnson Memorial Health in Franklin, IN is seeking a Resource Patient Care Tech (nights, as-needed) for PRN/POOL coverage. The role supports admissions, patient care, and routine procedures under RN supervision and may perform EKGs if trained.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, CNA certification (or on-the-job training) and CPR. Shifts are 6:00 p.m. – 6:30 a.m., with a minimum of 3 shifts in a 6-week cycle.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Nursing Assistant certification or equivalent on-the-job training is required.
• Current CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission by taking initial vital signs, measurements and weights and orienting patient/family to the unit.
• Delivers patient care per unit standards, documents care, and communicates with the RN.
• Assists physician and/or nurse with procedures; may perform EKGs if trained.
• Monitors and records patient intake/output and reports changes to the RN.
• Assists with activities of daily living and maintains patient comfort and safety.
• Keeps unit clean, stocks supplies, and participates in CQI and unit meetings.
