Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health seeks a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for Jersey City Medical Center's Emergency Department. This role supports RNs with vital signs, bedside care, mobility, and daily patient needs.

You will perform EKGs, phlebotomy, document in EHR, uphold infection control, and communicate with patients and teams. A HS diploma and BLS are required; CNA or clinical experience preferred; night shift with every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Preferred CNA certificate or clinical experience from an accredited nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Assist with vital signs, mobility, and personal care.
• Support RNs in monitoring patient conditions and care plans.
• Document patient information accurately in the EHR.
• Maintain infection control protocols and patient safety.
