Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Augusta, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Night Patient Care Technician to support RNs and deliver compassionate, hands-on patient care. You will assist with vital signs, mobility, personal care, and safety in a busy hospital setting.

The role emphasizes empathy, collaboration, and adherence to infection control. A CNA/PCT background and BLS within 30 days are required, with night shifts and strong teamwork as core expectations.

Qualifications

• Recent PCT or CNA experience required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• Comfortable working nights and supporting a RN-driven care plan.
• Strong communication and teamwork to ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality
