Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Augusta is seeking a Float Pool Patient Care Technician to join a collaborative nursing team. You will support Registered Nurses with hands‑on care, vital signs, mobility, and personal care to create a safe, welcoming environment for patients.

Responsibilities include assisting with preparation, transfers, dressing changes, keeping spaces clean, and safekeeping supplies. Candidates should have 1 year of CNA/PCT experience and may have CNA certification; BLS must be obtained

Qualifications

• 1 year of CNA or PCT experience in a hospital setting required
• CNA certification preferred
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery
• Providing non‑medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality
