Job summary

Baptist Health in Louisville, KY is seeking a part-time Patient Accommodations Coordinator for night shifts (12 hours, 6:15 PM–6:45 AM). One day per week, includes holidays and weekends.

The role ensures admissions coordination, bed assignments, pre-certifications, insurance verification and cash collection support. You will use Patient Tracking and Pre-admit Tracking software, maintain logs, and communicate with units and services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred with experience in patient registration.
• Experience in Excel and Microsoft applications.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
• Must type 45 wpm and have strong telephone skills.
• Experience coordinating admissions, bed assignments and transfers.

Responsibilities

• Identify insurances requiring authorization and obtain the authorization prior to patient admission.
• Coordinate admissions and bed assignments across units.
• Verify insurance coverage and assist with cash collection.
• Maintain patient room assignment logs and transfer documentation.
• Communicate with nursing units, Environmental Services, and Transportation.
• Coordinate courtesy discharges and daily status updates.
