Job summary

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in NYC is seeking a Pathologist Assistant to provide technical support for pathologists’ clinical and research activities, specializing in surgical tissue description, dissection, and histology processes.

You will work 8pm-4am, onsite at 1275 York Ave, collaborate with a team, perform tumor procurement, grossing, imaging, frozen sections, and mentoring, while ensuring accurate specimen handling and compliance.

Qualifications

• B.S. from PA program; master's preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in specimen grossing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• ASCP certification strongly preferred.
• NYS Pathologists Assistant License required (or within 6 months of hire).
• New graduates from accredited PA master's programs are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist with gross description and dissection of surgical tissue under pathologists.
• Perform histology processes including tumor procurement, case setup, gross imaging, frozen sections, and mentoring.
