The Department of Nursing at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a part-time Nursing Station Clerk 1 for the Coronary Care Unit (Nights). The role involves greeting patients, scheduling, data entry, and ensuring accurate charting and communications within the unit.

The qualified candidate will perform clerical duties across patient registration, appointments, and encounter ticket management while providing supportive services to patients and staff in a fast-paced inpatient

• Experience with inpatient clerical tasks is preferred.

• Strong organizational and communication skills.

• Greet patients and check in to the computer system.
• Verify demographics and insurance info to set up a billable account.
• Schedule appointments and obtain prior records as needed.
