Job summary

Parking Management Company (PMC) is hiring an Overnight Parking Lot Auditor to support hotel self-parking operations. This role monitors overnight activity, completes vehicle and revenue audits, and maintains accurate records while assisting guests and keeping the facility safe and organized.

The ideal candidate can work independently, uses parking systems, and remains alert throughout an overnight shift, typically 10:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m., with weekends and holidays possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous auditing, parking, hospitality, security, cash-handling, or customer-service experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and basic math skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate written and electronic records.
• Basic computer and mobile-application skills.
• Strong communication and customer-service abilities.
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
• Ability to remain alert and productive throughout an overnight shift.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle counts and audit parking tickets, access records, payments, and operational reports.
• Compare physical vehicle counts with digital or paper records.
• Identify discrepancies and report or correct errors according to established procedures.
• Complete accurate end-of-shift audit and revenue reports.
• Monitor vehicles entering and exiting the parking facility.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle and ticket activity.
• Help direct traffic and support an orderly flow of vehicles.
• Identify and report unauthorized vehicles, parking violations, equipment problems, or unusual activity.
• Conduct regular inspections of parking areas, entrances, exits, lighting, signs, gates, cameras, and safety equipment.
• Remain alert and responsive to potential hazards or security concerns.
• Report accidents, suspicious activity, and safety concerns to management or the appropriate authorities.
• Follow established emergency and incident-reporting procedures.
• Never place yourself or others in danger.
• Greet guests professionally and assist with parking-related questions.
• Provide clear directions and information about the parking facility.
• Address guest concerns calmly and promptly.
• Communicate effectively with hotel personnel, team members, management, and vendors.
• Use professional two-way radio procedures when applicable.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized parking environment.
• Inspect cones, signs, barriers, gates, ticketing equipment, and other parking materials.
• Report debris, damage, lighting problems, or equipment malfunctions.
• Maintain dependable attendance and arrive prepared for scheduled shifts.
• Follow PMC, hotel, safety, cash-handling, and parking procedures.
• Attend required meetings and training.
• Complete other job-related duties as assigned to support business and operational needs.
