Job summary

Eastside Medical Center (Piedmont Eastside) is seeking a Paramedic for the Emergency Department night shift. You will work under RN/Physician supervision to facilitate age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care and ensure patient safety through rapid assessment and intervention.

Responsibilities include performing EKGs, starting IVs, catheterization, blood draws, and transporting patients between departments while coordinating with ED staff to maintain efficient patient flow.

Qualifications

• Must have BLS certification; ACLS and PALS preferred or required within specified timeframe.
• Strong customer service and teamwork skills are essential.
• Able to handle multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced ED environment.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care.
• Assist with assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
• Perform EKGs, Foley catheters, Start IVs and draw blood as needed.
• Transport patients; monitor for arrhythmias and report changes promptly.
