Job summary

Piedmont Eastside Medical Center in Conyers, GA is seeking a Paramedic for full-time night shifts in the Emergency Department. The role focuses on rapid assessment, intervention, and patient advocacy in a high-volume, stroke and STEMI capable unit, with dedicated ED staff and collaboration with nurses and physicians.

Candidates should hold BLS; ACLS and PALS are required or obtainable within a defined timeframe.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required upon hire; ACLS and PALS required or within 6 months.
• GA Licensed Paramedic and National Registry preferred.
• 1 year of Paramedic experience preferred.
• H.S. Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care and communicate effectively.
• Perform EKGs, start IVs/IOs, and draw blood.
• Transport patients to other departments and monitor for arrhythmias.
• Coordinate with ED providers and ensure patient advocacy and safety.
