Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Health System's Main Campus is seeking a Paramedic for the Emergency Department to provide immediate care for patients with critical injuries and illnesses during night shifts. You will work with a dedicated team in a fast-paced environment, performing essential procedures and supporting physicians and nurses.

This role requires Ohio EMTP licensure, active EMS paramedic certification, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS credentials.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited EMS-Paramedic Training Program.
• Current licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic (EMTP) in Ohio.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS Certifications through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Clinical experience through an EMS Paramedic Training Program.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the Emergency Department under the direct supervision of an RN.
• Obtain and record vital signs.
• Perform EKGs, CPR and phlebotomy and oral, nasal and/or ET suctioning.
• Initiate cardiac monitoring, oxygen therapy and saline locks.
• Notify the RN and/or physician of rhythm changes.
• Transport patients and specimens.
• Assist with sterile procedures and maintaining supplies and equipment.
