Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Mentor Hospital is seeking a Paramedic for the Emergency Department, PRN, nights. The role supports urgent care with rapid assessment, EKGs, CPR, and monitoring, under RN supervision, contributing to timely patient stabilization.

Qualifications include EMS-Paramedic training and Ohio EMTP license, with BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications and ED clinical experience. Flexible shifts and mandatory 48 hours per 6 weeks may apply.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited EMS-Paramedic Training Program.
• Current licensure as an EMTP in Ohio.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications per AHA/Red Cross.
• Clinical EMS experience from a Paramedic program.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the ED under RN supervision.
• Obtain and record vital signs.
• Perform EKGs, CPR, phlebotomy and suctioning as needed.
• Initiate cardiac monitoring and oxygen therapy.
• Notify RN/physician of rhythm changes.
• Assist with sterile procedures and equipment maintenance.
• Transport patients and specimens in the ED.
