Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital is seeking a part-time PACU/Pre-Op nurse for the Thomas location, working 10-hour night shifts from 10 PM to 6:30 AM, two shifts per week. Requires at least 1 year PACU/Pre-op experience; new grads are not eligible.

Role emphasizes ongoing monitoring, teaching, and discharge instructions following Phase II recovery. Responsibilities include assessing aging patients, documenting care, coordinating with the healthcare team, and mentoring students and new staff to uphold

Qualifications

Minimum of one year PACU/Pre-op experience preferred; will consider other ICU inpatient experience.
No new graduates allowed for this role.

Responsibilities

Perform nursing assessments appropriate to age and condition and determine initial care plan.
Monitor patient responses to care, document progress, and communicate with care team and families.
Provide unit orientation and supervise care activities of assigned staff.
Collaborate with patient, family, and care team to implement and adjust plans of care.
Mentor students and new employees to promote best practices and patient-centered care.
