Job summary

Lamb Weston in Boardman, OR is seeking a Packaging Mechanic - Nights B to monitor packaging equipment and perform maintenance to ensure smooth operation. The role requires maintaining safety practices, completing line checks, and handling troubleshooting with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities include performing preventative maintenance, operating forklifts, and adhering to respiratory and hazardous material program requirements. Strong English reading/writing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Two year certificate from college or technical school; or a minimum of three years related experience and/or training.
• If an employee is selected from interest bids or does not have adequate qualifications as deemed by the team leader.
• Ability to read and comprehend English; written English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe work practices and participate in safety programs.
• Perform line checks and preventative maintenance; lubricate and inspect equipment.
• Troubleshoot, remove, install, disassemble, repair, and assemble plant equipment with minimal supervision.
• Perform non-routine maintenance as assigned by leads and team leads; follow lockout procedures.
