Job summary

Lamb Weston, Inc. is seeking a Line Mechanic to support plant production by performing maintenance functions across the facility under supervision. The role involves regular checks, equipment repair, safe start-up/shut-down, and training of staff.

The position requires welding and mechanical skills, ability to work at heights, and strong communication in English. It is an on-site role with a focus on safety and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must meet the qualifications of lower bracketed mechanic positions.
• Thorough knowledge of plant operations and mechanical systems and equipment.
• Good communicator with salaried and hourly personnel.
• Thorough knowledge of basic mechanical skills (i.e. plumbing, measuring, changing bearings, etc.).
• Able to work alone and in a neat workman-like manner.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular assigned checks.
• Keep logs up to date.
• Repair, overhaul and troubleshoot equipment.
• Proper start-up and shut-down of plant equipment.
• Train other mechanical or production personnel.
• Follow safety procedures and enforce safe working habits.
• Communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
• Carry out instructions with common sense.
