Job summary

Balchem Corporation in Lincoln, Nebraska is seeking a 3rd Shift Packaging Supervisor to lead packaging operations on the 11p-7a shift. You will coordinate leads and operators, ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality production, and maintain daily performance on the packaging line.

The role emphasizes supervision, training on GMPs and safety, and effective communication with management. Candidates should have manufacturing leadership experience and be comfortable with weekend-focused schedules

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience leading packaging operations in manufacturing.
• Ability to lead employees, set priorities, and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong documentation and written/verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and production records.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, motivate, coach, and evaluate leads and operators on the shift.
• Provide clear direction and address performance, attendance, and conduct issues promptly.
• Train operators on GMPs, OSHA safety, lockout/tagout, and safe work practices.
• Monitor inventories, production flow, and packaging priorities; ensure schedule attainment.
• Ensure paperwork and electronic records (ADP timecards) are accurate and timely.
• Monitor product quality and adherence to procedures; communicate deviations promptly.
• Promote a clean, sanitary, and orderly workplace and assist with sanitation activities.
• Perform duties as assigned and adhere to Balchem policies.
