Job summary

City Produce in Fort Walton Beach, FL is hiring a warehouse associate for a Monday–Friday schedule. The role involves locating, picking, loading, palletizing and wrapping orders with attention to quality and safety.

Must read/write English and have at least 1 year in a warehouse or manufacturing setting, preferably food-related. Compensation starts at $18.00/hour with daily productivity incentives and benefits.

• At least 1 year of recent experience in manufacturing or warehouse/distribution, preferably food industry

Responsibilities

• Locate and select warehouse items to fulfill customer orders
• Load and unload items using machines, carts and dollies
• Build pallets and position them at loading docks
• Perform visual inspections for quantity and size accuracy
• Wrap orders before loading on trucks
• Maintain equipment and report malfunctions
• Comply with policies, OSHA and food safety regulations
• Ensure cleanliness and good housekeeping on the production line and area
• Demonstrate strong organization and attention to detail
• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing

Essential Functions:

• Locate and select the specific warehouse items to fulfill the customer’s order
• Load and unload items using machines, carts and dollies
• Build pallets with orders and position them to loading docks
• Perform visual inspections of orders to ensure accuracy according to quantity, size, etc.
• Wrap orders before loading on trucks
• Maintain equipment and report on equipment malfunctions
• Comply with all applicable company policies, procedures, OSHA and Food Safety regulations
• Ensure cleanliness and good housekeeping of the specific production line and surrounding general area throughout the shift
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work with others in a team environment

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Must be able to read, speak, and write English satisfactorily, bilingual a plus
• At least 1 year of recent and successful experience performing the above functions in a significant manufacturing or warehouse/distribution environment. Prefer that such experience is in the food industry

Work Schedule:

• Monday - Friday

Compensation:

• $18.00/hour + Daily productivity incentive opportunities

Physical Demands:

• Stand or sit for long periods of time
• Work in cold and wet cooler conditions for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
