Job summary

Get Fresh Produce in Michigan is hiring a warehouse associate to support receiving, picking, packing, and shipping. You will operate RF scanners and forklifts, and work with the operations team to ensure accuracy and on‑time fulfillment.

This is a full‑time, 5‑day position with Sunday–Thursday schedules and some holidays. Training during the first 30 days is paid. Benefits include health coverage, PTO, holidays, 401(k) with match, and opportunities for career advancement.

Responsibilities

Get Fresh Produce started in 1982 as a retail produce store in Chicago, specializing in premium fresh fruit, vegetables, specialty foods, and dairy. Get Fresh is supported by an amazing team of sales, customer service, procurement, and operations professionals. Get Fresh Produce executes distribution of more than 13 million cases annually to 3,000 customers.

Essential Functions:

• Perform general physical activities in a warehouse, including loading, unloading, selecting, sorting and moving products and materials manually
• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts (including sit down and stand up)
• Transport filled orders throughout the warehouse to shipping assembling areas
• Perform general warehouse cleaning duties of assigned areas to ensure cleanliness standards are met
• Select customer orders using WMS System with RFD equipment
• Collaborate with the receiving team to properly return products back to stock
• Perform audits, check outbound orders for accuracy, and quality of goods
• Follow all warehouse safety guidelines, including proper lifting techniques and use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company guidelines to ensure safety, accuracy, and efficiency

• Experience using RF Scanners, WMS
• At least 6 months prior experience safely operating forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and understanding general warehouse operations
• Speak and write English satisfactorily

Physical Demands:

• Work in cold and wet cooler conditions for extended periods of time
• Stand or walk for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs consistently and up to 75 lbs occasionally

Compensation:

• Training Period: $17.00/hour (For your first 30 days)
• Pay Per Piece: $17.00 - $23.00/hour (During your first year)

Work Schedule:

• 5-day workweek
• Sunday-Thursday: Start time is 8:00am - until work is completed
• Friday: Start time is 7:00am - until work is completed
• Scheduled Days Off: Every Saturday, plus either Tuesday or Wednesday each week
• Must be available to work some mandatory holidays as required
