Job summary

UPMC St. Margaret is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse for an overnight assignment, Sunday through Thursday, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, delivering circulating nursing care and supporting a wide variety of cases.

Candidates must have OR experience and be comfortable working independently without on-site leadership during overnight hours. Scrubbing is a plus but not required; orientation on daylight shift will validate skills.

• Must have OR nursing experience.
• Ability to work independently overnight without on-site supervision.
• Scrub experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Circulates during surgical procedures and supports a wide variety of cases.
• Demonstrates accountability for professional development and patient care.
• Communicates effectively with the care team and documents care appropriately.
• Participates in quality improvement and maintains patient safety.
• Maintains professional relationships and safe work hours.
• Performs scrub role as applicable for newer hires.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
