Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking an Operations Supervisor at our New York facility to lead drivers and hourly staff, ensuring customer requirements are met while aligning with Penske goals and objectives.

You will supervise daily tasks such as driver deliveries, loading/unloading, and customer service operations, manage performance, provide coaching, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced transportation environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership qualities with strong interpersonal skills and ability to connect with associates and leadership.
• Able to work efficiently and independently with strong time management and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication and active listening.
• Ability to drive process improvement and lead change.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Must demonstrate ownership and a sense of urgency in operations.
• High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise drivers and hourly workforce to meet customer requirements and cost objectives.
• Performance management and disciplinary actions up to written warning.
• Involved in hiring and customer meetings as necessary.
• Plan and oversee dispatch, documentation, and control of procedures.
• Conduct team meetings.
• Provide relief coverage when needed.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance across operations.
