Job summary

Airgas, an Air Liquide company, is seeking an Operations Expediter for the Star, MS site to oversee daily yard operations, vehicle loading, and asset management while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role partners with branch and plant leadership to maintain efficient operations, track inspections, and support loading/unloading activities in a nighttime schedule from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am.

Qualifications

• High School diploma with 3+ years supervising 10+ workers in an industrial setting.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and continuous improvement methods (Lean/Six Sigma).
• Strong written and verbal communication; organizational skills for records and time tracking.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations in the manufacturing yard and asset handling.
• Balance transportation and vendor schedules ensuring safety and policy compliance.
• Coordinate with Production to prevent backlogs and communicate orders.
• Assist with workforce planning, shift scheduling, and coverage.
• Track on-site assets and conduct QA during loading/unloading.
