Job summary

CHOC seeks an Obstetrical Support Surgical Technician (OB Tech) to support the Special Delivery Unit. You will scrub in OR and LDRP, collaborating closely with nursing, surgery and anesthesia teams to ensure high-quality patient care, while also handling occasional clerical tasks within scope.

Requirements include a Surgical Technology background, high school diploma or GED, and BLS; there may be night shifts and a team-focused environment that values attention to detail and clear communication.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Surgical Technology program graduate or military training.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Certified Surgical Tech preferred; ability to communicate clearly in English.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary scrub person on the Special Delivery Unit in OR and LDRP.
• Collaborate with nurses, surgeon and anesthesia team to ensure quality care.
• Perform clerical duties as needed and support staff and families.
• Maintain readiness and cleanliness between cases according to policies.
