Job summary

UVA Community Health is seeking a Technical Assistant - Nursing for night shift to support patient care across clinics and units. You will assist RNs, stock supplies, perform basic clerical duties and apply standard precautions under supervision.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and good communication skills; prior healthcare experience preferred. On-call and travel between facilities may be required; base hourly pay ranges from $16.25 to $23.39.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience: 1 year of relevant healthcare experience preferred.
• Licensure: Certification from Virginia Board of Nursing - preferred.
• Additional Skills: Ability to communicate verbally and in written form.
• Preferred: Phlebotomy and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care activities under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Assists with patient care throughout the care sequence and supports the RN.
• Assists in room turnover and prepares/sanitizes equipment and supplies.
• Organizes supplies and manages basic clerical duties as needed.
