Job Description

The Technical Assistant provides patient care, maintains supplies, and applies infection control principles. Responsibilities include assisting with patient care under RN supervision, performing clerical duties, phlebotomy, and safety tasks, all within scope and policies.

• Assist with patient care throughout the patient experience under supervision.
• Ensure proper cleaning and organization of supplies and environment.
• Communicate effectively with team members, patients, and providers.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED (preferred), 1 year relevant experience (preferred), and Virginia Board of Nursing certification (preferred). Skills required include good communication, with additional preferred skills in phlebotomy and medical terminology.

Physical Demands

Requires medium to heavy physical activity, including sitting, standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 100 lbs with proper equipment.
