Job summary

UVA Community Health is seeking a Technical Assistant - Nursing for PRN night shifts (7p-7a). You will provide patient care under RN supervision, assist with phlebotomy, and help maintain supplies and safety protocols across hospital and clinic settings.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED; 1 year of relevant healthcare experience preferred; Virginia Board of Nursing certification preferred. Strong communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• Licensure: Certification from Virginia Board of Nursing - preferred.
• Communication: Ability to communicate verbally and in written form.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care services, cleans, maintains and stocks supplies and equipment and applies infection control policies under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• The Technical Assistant will receive assignments as delegated by the RN and access patient data to identify needs.
• Performs clerical, phlebotomy, safety attendant and other duties within scope as assigned.
