Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian is hiring a Nursing Assistant for the 6 North Med/Surg unit in Westchester. This full-time night role runs 11:00 PM–7:15 AM with rotating weekends/holidays.

You will support nurses by monitoring vitals, assisting with meals and transport, and helping maintain a clean, respectful patient environment. Preferred candidates have acute care experience or LTC certification, CPR/BLS, and are enrolled in a BSN or have completed clinical practicums.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• One year in acute care setting preferred or certified long term care Nursing Assistant.
• Current CPR training (American Heart Association BLS) is required.
• Experience as Nurse’s aide in a hospital or enrolled in BSN with practicum is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse and respiration.
• Deliver meals and assist with safe patient transport.
• Provide comfort and caring under RN supervision.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and healing environment.
