Beecher Manor in Illinois is seeking a dynamic Nurse Supervisor to direct and coordinate the nursing units during the 8pm-4am shift, ensuring the highest quality of care for residents. You will oversee daily nursing operations, manage staff, and apply sound judgment in challenging situations.

Qualifications

• Active Nursing License as required by the state.
• Ability to work every other weekend.
• Compliant with state Health Care Worker Background Check requirements.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Ability to promote and facilitate teamwork among staff.
• High standard of ethics and professional integrity.
• Knowledge of nursing and medical procedures, and regulatory guidelines for nursing care facilities.
• Ability to make independent decisions in high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day activities of the clinical staff to ensure proper patient care.
• Complete required record-keeping and documentation upon resident admission, discharge, and transfer.
• Prepare and administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to facility medication policies.
• Conduct daily rounds of nursing units and adjust priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Verify daily staffing levels and make adjustments as necessary to maintain proper ratios.
• Collaborate with charge nurses regarding resident care, conditions, and overall well-being.
• Respond to emergencies and ensure quick, appropriate actions are taken.
• Perform other duties as directed to enhance patient care and facility operations.
