Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Main Campus is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for the Urology unit (G90) to lead a fast-paced nursing team on-night shifts. You will coordinate admissions/discharges, mentor staff, and ensure delivery of high-quality patient care in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
• BSN degree required.
• Current state RN licensure required.
• BLS certification must be presented at hire; ACLS if in a critical care area.
• Minimum 2 years of recent clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate communication and collaboration among unit staff and departments to support patient care.
• Coordinate admissions, discharges, transfers, and daily operations across shifts.
• Review major clinical and operational issues with Nurse Managers.
• Provide ongoing clinical evaluation of nursing staff and patient care.
• Counsel staff on performance and monitor attendance; escalate concerns.
• Participate in interviewing, hiring and performance appraisals.
• Ensure adherence to EEO/AAP goals and organizational policies.
• Supervise and participate in daily patient care delivery; develop staff schedules.
• Support quality improvement, outcomes research, and committee activities.
• Assist with orientation, continuing education, and in-service programs.
