Join Cleveland Clinic Health System on the Main Campus in Cleveland, OH, for an Assistant Nurse Manager role in the Digestive Disease General Surgery Unit. This night-shift position supports the nurse manager, leads clinical supervision, and coordinates unit operations. You will work 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required.
• BLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross).
• ACLS certification required within 1 year or upon hire.
• Two years of recent clinical nursing experience.
• Strong clinical knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate unit clinical operations.
• Provide patient care.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration among unit caregivers and other departments/units.
• Review major operational patient care issues with Nurse Managers.
• Provide ongoing clinical evaluations and counsel caregivers on performance issues.
• Interview, select and orient new caregivers.
• Maintain adherence to EEO/AAP goals.
• Prepare work schedules for shifts.
• Support quality improvement projects and research initiatives.
• Orient new personnel and assist in staff development.
• Assume Nurse Manager responsibilities in their absence.
