Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking an RN for the Neuro/PCU in Texas. The unit is a fast-paced 32-bed area with 1:3-5 patient ratios and night shifts from 7pm to 7am.

Nurses oversee care for stroke, post-op neuro patients, and related conditions, while mentoring and contributing to unit initiatives. Candidates must have 2 years of Neuro Tele or PCU acute care experience, possess an active RN license, and be willing to obtain BLS if needed.

Qualifications

• RN license and BLS certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
• 2 years of Neuro Tele or PCU acute care experience
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a fast-paced unit environment

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed clinical assessments and develop care plans.
• Educate patients and families; document learning needs.
• Delegate tasks according to team competencies and safety.
