Job summary

Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center Neonatology is seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join a collaborative team in a Level II NICU and related areas. The NNP may order, perform, and interpret tests and prescribe within scope.

Strong clinical support is available overnight. The role requires an NNP-BC certification, PA RN/CRNP licensure (or eligibility), and a minimum of two years of RN experience; BLS/NRP certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited Neonatal Nurse Practitioner program.
• National certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP-BC).
• Current Pennsylvania RN and CRNP licensure (or eligible).
• Minimum of two (2) years of RN experience.
• BLS and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide neonatal care in a Level II NICU and related units as part of a collaborative team.
• Perform orders, diagnostics, and interventions within scope of practice; work independently with attending physicians.
• Credential and respond to patient needs in inpatient neonatal care.
• Participate in a structured orientation and contribute to high-quality care to critically ill newborns.
