Job summary

WellSpan Health's York Hospital Imaging MRI is seeking a patient-focused MRI support coordinator to manage coordination of MRI patients from scheduling to exam completion, and to serve as liaison between MRI staff and providers. The role supports technologists in non-technical duties including patient movement, positioning, documenting imaging histories.

This full-time night-shift position (Sun–Thu, 11:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.) emphasizes attention to safety, accurate data verification, insurance

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year relevant experience required.
• Basic Life Support within 180 days required.
• Excellent communications/interpersonal skills and strong customer service abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate MRI patient flow from scheduling to exam completion.
• Identify and verify patient data and orders to ensure timely care.
• Ensure MRI safety screening and insurance authorization prior to exam.
• Communicate with physicians, nurses, and MRI staff to resolve issues and keep care on track.
• Assist with non-technical imaging tasks such as patient movement and documenting procedures.
