Job summary

Penn Medicine in Lancaster, PA is seeking a team-focused MRI technician to join our hospital imaging team. You will prepare patients for MRI exams, ensure safety screening, and assist technologists with room setup and patient positioning.

You will document accurately, greet and guide patients, manage scheduling, and support a clean, efficient clinical environment while complying with OSHA standards. This role requires full-time hours and on-site work.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Preferred knowledge of EMR (Epic).
• One year of medical office or medical related environment exposure.
• CPR certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Document accurately and timely according to department standards.
• Prepare patient for MRI exam; initial MRI safety screening, brief patient history for technologist, properly change for exam.
• Assist technologist prepare MRI room for exam and patient positioning.
• Respond to emergencies and maintain patient comfort and safety.
• Answer phones, schedule patients for procedures, and perform basic clerical tasks.
• Maintain supplies and cleanliness per OSHA standards.
