Job summary

Northwestern Medicine seeks a Recovery Support Specialist for the Mobile Crisis Response Teams in Illinois. The role supports consumers in crisis, utilizing personal recovery experience to provide peer support and trauma-informed care in a home-like setting.

You will work on-call 8:00 PM–8:30 AM, totaling 8 shifts per month, with some weekends and holidays, while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to develop individual plans.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Personal recovery experience or life experience relevant to behavioral health.
• Valid Driver's License and auto insurance.
• CRSS certification within two years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an advocate for consumers.
• Provide peer support using personal recovery experiences.
• Offer recovery information and resources with trauma-informed principles.
• Assess needs, goals, and resources for consumers.
• Refer to QMHP/LPHA for crisis triage and treatment as indicated.
• Transport consumers to and from home, appointments, or school.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to plan care.
• Implement service plans through rehabilitation services and WRAP.
• Document services and maintain records per policies.
