Job summary

ARUP Laboratories in Salt Lake City, UT seeks a laboratory professional for include night-shift work in Transfusion Services. The role covers routine to complex testing, instrument calibration, QC, data entry, and reporting with accuracy and speed to support clinicians.

We offer a $3,000 sign-on bonus and relocation reimbursement where eligible. Training begins with a dayshift period, followed by 7-on/7-off night rotations and a 40-hour training week to ensure competency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or better in Medical Laboratory Sciences.
• MLS/MT certification as required by ASCP/AAB.

Responsibilities

• Performs waived, moderate, and/or highly complex analytic processes with supervision according to SOPs.
• Operates and troubleshoots laboratory instruments; requests service when needed.
• Performs QC procedures and maintains QC records per accrediting standards.
• Follows specimen collection, handling, transport, and recording procedures.
• Enters data into the laboratory information system accurately and timely.
• Recognizes critical results and escalates per defined processes.
