Job summary

Morton Salt is seeking a Mill Supervisor to oversee the Mill and Loading department, supervising hourly staff and ensuring safe, efficient operations across storage, screening, mixing, pressing, bagging, palletizing, and loading of trucks and railcars.

You will perform quality inspections, maintain regulatory compliance, coordinate maintenance, and act as a liaison with Supply Chain Partners to verify inventory and resolve shipping issues.

Qualifications

• Supervises hourly employees and ensures safe, efficient mill operations.
• Drives continuous improvement and SOP documentation; supports LOTO, PPE, and safety programs.
• Manages quality control and regulatory compliance; coordinates with Supply Chain.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing policies and procedures.
• Supervise and instruct hourly employees for Mill and Loading processes.
• Lead continuous improvement by coaching and developing staff; support SOPs and LOTO.
• Coordinate with Quality, Engineering and other departments to ensure product quality.
• Analyze KPIs and support continuous improvement and customer satisfaction goals.
• Verify freight-related invoices and coordinate railcar shipments and deliveries.
