Job summary

Morton Salt seeks a Production Supervisor to lead daily production across multiple product lines, ensuring adherence to policies and regulatory standards. You will champion safety initiatives, drive continuous improvement, and manage maintenance budgets while coordinating with hourly operators to minimize downtime.

The role requires 3 years of supervisor experience in manufacturing, with preference for food-related industry exposure and familiarity with SAP.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; two or more years supervisory experience in manufacturing or food-related industries preferred.
Bachelor’s or Associate degree in engineering, business, or related field preferred.
Experience leading safety initiatives and implementing GMP/EHS standards.
Knowledge of SAP or equivalent ERP system a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day production for multiple product lines in compliance with policies and regulations.
Drive safety improvements and address root causes of near-misses and incidents.
Conduct weekly safety and quality meetings and maintain good housekeeping.
Manage department budgets, manpower, and maintenance; own maintenance work orders.
Troubleshoot equipment with hourly operators and track downtime.
