Job summary

Aviva Senior Living in Merrillville, Indiana is hiring a Medication Assistant to provide safe medication administration during the 7pm–7am shift, including every other weekend. You will work with residents, follow orders, and document care in resident records.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, state certification to pass medications, and 1–2 years of related experience. Candidates should be compassionate, patient, and able to communicate in English while following all community

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• State certification to pass medications in this setting.
• 1–2 years of related experience preferred.
• Experience with memory care and elderly care encouraged.
• Ability to read and write in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide medication administration per orders.
• Adhere to narcotics and PRN policies.
• Report changes in residents' condition or behavior.
• Maintain records of medication distribution and activities.
• Follow supervisor's schedule for resident needs.
• Provide emotional and social support.
• Follow all community policies and procedures.
• Attend work regularly and predictably.
