Job summary

Flowers Hospital is seeking a Medical Technologist I for full-time night shifts to perform moderate and high complexity lab tests. You will ensure accurate results, adhere to quality control standards, and assist in regulatory compliance.

The role may include teaching and phlebotomy duties as needed. Requirements include a Bachelor's in Medical Technology or related field, acceptable proficiency examination scores, and 0–2 years of acute care experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related Clinical Laboratory Science
Passing score on Clinical Laboratory Technology Proficiency examination (HEW)
0–2 years of acute care experience
ASCP/AMT/AAB MT certification required or preferred

Responsibilities

Performs moderate and high complexity lab tests with accurate reporting and documentation.
Adheres to quality control procedures; analyzes data and takes corrective actions as needed.
Daily, weekly, and monthly instrument checks and preventive maintenance.
Troubleshoots instrument malfunctions and notifies appropriate personnel.
Maintains safety protocols and uses required personal protective equipment.
Collaborates with team to ensure shift duties are completed efficiently.
