Community Health Systems is seeking a Medical Technologist I for part-time night shifts at Portage and Valparaiso Medical Center. The role performs moderate to high complexity lab tests, adheres to quality controls, and supports regulatory compliance.

Phlebotomy duties may be required and teaching responsibilities are possible. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Medical Technology or related field and has 0–2 years of acute care experience, with ASCP/AMT/AAB MT certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related field.
• Passing score on the Clinical Laboratory Technology Proficiency examination approved by HHS (HEW).
• 0–2 years of acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and high complexity lab tests with quality control and timely reporting.
• Maintains instruments and performs preventive maintenance per policies.
• Follows safety regulations and uses PPE as required.
