Job summary

Indiana University Health's Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis seeks a Medical Laboratory Technician to assist with lab testing on patient specimens and support diagnostic processes. You will handle hematology/oncology differentials, run Sysmex hematology and Cobas chemistry analyzers, and maintain quality records.

Under supervision, you will contribute to procedures, troubleshoot equipment, and support phlebotomy as needed, working in a full-time night shift environment at IU Health facilities.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related science; certification is not required.
• Associate degree with certification (NCA/AMT/ASCP/HEW/CLA) within 12 months of employment.
• Knowledge of laboratory techniques and procedures.
• Working knowledge of laboratory testing equipment and routine maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with laboratory testing on patient specimens under direction.
• Maintain records of performance and ensure quality control.
• Operate hematology and chemistry analyzers (Sysmex, Cobas) with minimal support.
• Troubleshoot equipment and procedures; phlebotomy is a plus.
