Job summary

Indiana University Health in Bedford, IN is seeking a part-time Medical Laboratory Technician to assist with laboratory testing on patient specimens and support daily lab operations.

You will process samples, run hematology and chemistry analyzers, maintain quality records, and contribute to procedure development. Phlebotomy is a plus and strong computer skills are required to ensure accuracy and safety in a busy lab.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related science required.
• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technician or MLT certification within 12 months may be required.
• Knowledge of laboratory techniques and procedures.
• Working knowledge of laboratory testing equipment and routine maintenance.
• Ability to maintain quality control and records.
• Working knowledge of computers and laboratory safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with laboratory testing on patient specimens.
• Maintain records of performance and generate acceptable test results.
• Assist in development and modification of procedures.
• Process specimens; proficient with hematology and chemistry analyzers.
• Troubleshoot equipment; phlebotomy is a plus.
