St. Croix Health in Wisconsin is hiring a Medical Lab Scientist/MLT for Nights (7 on/7 off). This 0.8 FTE role performs phlebotomy, specimen collection, routine analyses and quality control to support patient care.

The position emphasizes accuracy, adherence to LIS/EMR documentation, equipment maintenance, and timely reporting of test results. Requires MLT/CLA certification and BLS, with 1 year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school qualified in teaching Medical Laboratory Technicians/Certified Laboratory Assistants.
• Registered and/or certified MLT(ASCP), CLA (ASCP), RMT, AMT and/or NCA.
• Current BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Collect and process orders and specimens.
• Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection.
• Label specimens per policy and document in LIS/EMR.
• Documents quality control results and troubleshoot problems.
• Maintain equipment and logs; contact service when needed.
• Perform laboratory testing and report results accurately and timely.
• Participate in department quality improvement and attend meetings.
