Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Medical Surgical RN for Riverview Regional Medical Center in Gadsden, AL. Shift is Days, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM with a shift differential of $2–$6. Full-time position with a sign-on bonus. New grads welcome and supported to grow professionally.

Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, monitoring, medication administration, and collaboration with the care team to ensure optimal outcomes. BSN preferred; ACLS/BLS required at hire.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS certification at hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification within 30 days of hire and maintained (preferred).
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of patients' physical, emotional, and mental health.
• Monitor vital signs, intake/output, and other clinical indicators to detect changes in patient conditions.
• Recognize and act on signs of deterioration.
• Safely administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse effects.
• Act as liaison between patients, families and healthcare team to meet needs.
• Provide patient education on condition, treatment options, and lifestyle adjustments to support recovery.
