Job summary

Embassy Suites Philadelphia - Airport is seeking a Night Manager to oversee the Front Office team, complete nightly procedures, and ensure guest satisfaction. You will manage guest issues, handle emergencies, and support other departments as needed, with a strong emphasis on confidentiality and seamless operations.

PM shift may vary with business needs; prior Front Office and POS system experience is preferred for a smooth night audit and guest service delivery.

• Complete a nightly MOD checklist and send copies to the General Manager, Engineer, Housekeeping and F&B teams.
• Manage guest resolution process to ensure guest satisfaction with outcome.
• Handle emergencies with authority to contact providers and resolve issues.
• Assist any department that is short staffed or needs help.
• Understand Front Office duties and perform them as needed.
• Operate the OnQ front office system for daily transactions and Night Audit.
• Assist in Food & Beverage operations when needed and understand Simphony POS.

Job Description

What you will be doing

• Complete a nightly MOD checklist and send copies to the General Manager, Engineer, Housekeeping and F&B teams.
• Manage guest resolution process to include investigation of situation and creative problem solving to ensure guest is satisfied with outcome.
• Handle emergencies that may develop in the hotel, with full authority to contact all providers and ensure all issues are handled and reported.
• Assist any department that is short staffed or needs additional help.
• Have complete understanding of Front Office staff's job descriptions and duties and be able to perform duties at any given time.
• Accurately manage and operate the OnQ system at the front office, including all daily transactions and those which are not performed often, including Night Audit
• Have knowledge of Food and Beverage operations and be ready to assist in the restaurant should the need arise
• Have knowledge/understanding of the Simphony POS system
