Job summary

City of Ketchikan, Public Works Streets Division, seeks a Maintenance Technician for night shifts (Wednesday–Monday, 12:00 AM–8:00 AM). Regular full-time position with hourly pay between $27.64 and $29.35.

Responsibilities include maintenance on streets, public buildings, bridges, sewers, and other facilities, using trucks up to 30,000 lb GVW, heavy equipment, and power tools. The role requires passing a pre-employment drug screen, a valid Alaska driver’s license (or ability to obtain one on

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate trucks of 30,000 lb GVW range, heavy equipment and power tools.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment alcohol and drug screen.
• Must possess a valid Alaska driver’s license or be able to obtain upon hire and have a good driving record; CDL within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and construction tasks on streets, public buildings, bridges, sewers and other public facilities.
• Operate trucks and heavy equipment as part of street maintenance operations.
