Job summary

Standard Construction Co. is hiring a Night Maintenance Mechanic to diagnose, repair and maintain heavy construction equipment, engines, hydraulics and electrical systems. The role requires safety focus, ability to work nights, and willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Two year certificate from college or technical school preferred.
• Extensive experience in truck and heavy equipment maintenance and repair, including diesels, hydraulic systems and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task.
• Analyze malfunctions and repairs, rebuild and maintain equipment including heavy construction equipment.
• Operate and inspect machines and equipment to diagnose defects.
• Dismantle and reassemble equipment, using hoists as well as hand power tools.
• Test overhauled equipment to ensure operating efficiency.
• Weld broken parts and structural members.
